unit of ZF Friedrichshafen is further
expanding its position as a leading
worldwide supplier of complete marine
propulsion systems for all types of vessels.
ZF Marine has now acquired HRP
Nederland with all subsidiaries, with
production locations in The Netherlands
and Indonesia as well as sales and service
HRP produces a wide range of steerable
thrusters, which include well-mounted
thrusters, retractable thrusters, tunnel
thrusters and controls, available in fixed
pitch, CP and CRP versions. As in previous
years, HRP achieved positive sales
development in 2008. ZF Marine advises
that HRP currently has approximately 250

offer competence in the field of steerable

HRP's extensive propulsion know-how for

HRP, in the thruster market since 1973,
designs and produces a wide range of
steerable thrusters for all types of
applications throughout the marine
industry. Most of the workforce is located
in Europe, with headquarters in Krimpen,
The Netherlands. HRP also has offices and
facilities in Asia, North America, South
America and the Middle East. The HRP sales
turnover in 2008 comprised around 30
percent in Europe and 50 percent in Asia.

The ZF HRP 8000 -- HRP, one of the leading
manufacturers of steerable thrusters worldwide,
will continue business as "ZF Marine HRP" within
the ZF Marine Group
Veth Propulsion in Papendrecht, The Netherlands, is not only
known for its reliable bow thruster installations, the successful
family company also builds SisuDiesel and Scania vessel
generating sets on its own premises.
These sets range from 44 to 558kVA. Skillfully wired motor,
control and safety panels complete these sets. The sets can also be
constructed in a sound-insulating housing for crew comfort.
Because both thrusters and generating sets are constructed on
its own premises, Veth Propulsion can deliver complete packages.
Already many sea and inland navigation ships are equipped
with Veth generating sets and also a Veth bowthruster or
Z-Drives. Having different installations on board which have
been delivered by the same company has many advantages at the
purchase, installation and maintenance stages. Apart from the

pumps and bow thrusters.
